A “Grinch” was arrested for shoplifting in Florida on Christmas Eve, and authorities say he is wanted for similar thefts across the country.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said Walmart loss prevention officers in Deltona spotted a suspect on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24 moving thousands of dollars worth of high-value merchandise into the boxes of cheaper items.
Investigators learned the suspect, identified as David Dean, has warrants in Pinellas County as well as in Arizona and Washington. According to the sheriff’s office, Dean is the suspected perpetrator in 33 shoplifting incidents nationwide, totaling more than $29,000 in stolen merchandise…
