Each January, the City of College Park joins communities across the nation in recognizing the life, leadership, and lasting influence of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observed on the third Monday in January, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service—encouraging all of us to give back, uplift one another, and help build more just and connected communities.
Throughout the month, the City will host a variety of educational programs, service opportunities, and community-focused activities that reflect Dr. King’s vision of equality, compassion, and civic responsibility. Residents of all ages are invited to take part and honor his legacy through learning, reflection, and service.
