VIOLA, Iowa — A fire completely destroyed a former general store building in Viola late Monday afternoon, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office. Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze, which was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. on December 29.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched at approximately 5:34 p.m. to a report of a building fire at 3182 Pleasant Street in Viola.
