A Mississippi mother and educator is reflecting on her survival after her vehicle plummeted off the Highway 80 bridge into the Pearl River. WAPT in Jackson reports that Angela Brown, a preschool teacher in Canton, found herself submerged in water after a week of exhaustion from work and community commitments.
While driving exhausted, Brown said her car left the roadway and went into the river.
As her vehicle filled with water, Brown was forced to navigate the situation despite being unable to swim. She managed to dog-paddle to the riverbank. Brown was able to pull herself onto the rocks and then climb up to the bridge where she successfully flagged down a passing officer for assistance…
