The driver of a motorcycle is dead after the bike and a tow truck collided in the 2900 block of NW Evangeline Thruway Tuesday morning, Lafayette police said in a news release.
The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the frontage road. The motorcycle driver, traveling southbound, struck the back part of the tow truck while the driver, going northbound, was attempting to turn left into a parking lo, LPD said.
