NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Ozanam Inn says it is prepared to house more homeless people as freezing temperatures are expected to blanket the New Orleans area Tuesday night.

The long-running shelter normally houses about 156 people nightly, but given the frigid forecast, it is making room for dozens more.
“The city has given us some cots, and they’re really great, so they’re going to have a lot of extra cots out. As much as they can be placed comfortably next to the next person, we’re going to have as many cots as we possibly can,” said Kimberly Harvey, Ozanam’s deputy director…
