Christmas crash in St. Louis ends in shooting, suspects flee

ST. LOUIS – A crash in north St. Louis quickly escalated to a shooting and ended with several suspects fleeing the scene.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Christmas evening at the intersection of Kingshighway Boulevard and Northland Place, in the Kingsway East neighborhood.

According to police, a white Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound across Kingshighway when it struck a blue sedan. The sedan was pushed into two parked cars on Northland. The Explorer also crashed into a parked vehicle. A utility pole was taken out, which caused a brief electrical outage on the street.

The driver in the Explorer backed up onto Kingshighway and drove away as three people in the blue sedan exited their car and began shooting at the SUV. Those individuals quickly got back in the sedan and drove off, leaving residents in a state of shock as they came outside to see their damaged vehicles…
