2026 will bring some more dining options to South Oliver with the arrival of two different Mexican restaurants expected to open in the coming months.
The first is Alejandro’s Mexican Food which is opening at the recently remodeled strip center at the northeast corner of Harry and Oliver. It already houses the new USA Donuts at 1630 S. Oliver.
Long time Wichitans may remember this strip center was home to Payless Shoe Store for many years and is right next door to Southeast Carryout.
Alejandro’s Mexican Food already has one location at 1212 S. Rock Road and this appears to be a second store.
The next one is La Cabana Mexican Cafe which is taking over the former Mino Bakery space at 2528 S. Oliver…
