A man Shreveport Police said took a UPS truck containing weapons and pharmaceuticals Feb. 17, fled down Interstate 49 and eventually drove it into a ditch just short of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop has agreed to plead guilty.
Skyler Jarvis, now 24, agreed to a guilty plea for two counts of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a police officer and one count of aggravated flight from an officer. He was sentenced to three years in prison for each count, ordered to be served simultaneously.
According to arrest information from Shreveport Police, Jarvis scaled a six-foot fence and took off in a UPS delivery truck from the business at the intersection of Mansfield Road and Kings Highway. The report indicated the suspect admitted to stealing a different vehicle hours earlier and abandoning it near the Interstate 20-Interstate 49 intersection, about one mile east of the UPS location…
