COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Members of the AdAmAn Club started their ascent up to Pikes Peak on Tuesday morning. The club, which adds a member each year, has been climbing for more than 100 years to ring in the New Year with a fireworks display on Pikes Peak.
“Well, this is a Colorado Springs tradition,” member Priscilla Clayton said before heading off on the 2025 climb. “It started with the Frozen Five back in, I believe, 1922. Five men went up and had a bonfire on the summit and decided when they came back down to start a club.”
The club will spend Tuesday and Wednesday making the trek up to the peak for their New Year’s fireworks show…
