“The Rock” event venue in Tucson will remain open

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – “The Rock” venue in Tucson has been a staple in the area for decades, providing a venue for up-and-coming bands as well as Tucson artists to share their craft.

The venue announced their closure weeks ago to build a five-story apartment complex, but 13 News has since learned that those plans will not happen and The Rock will stay open.

Back in the 1970’s, they were first called “The Stumble Inn” and in the late 80’s they changed to the name Scarlette’s and then “The Mudbuggs.”…
