2-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition After Near-Drowning in Glendale Pool

A 2-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital on Saturday afternoon following a near-drowning incident at a home in Glendale. ABC15 reports that Glendale police and first responders were dispatched to the residence, located near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, just after 2:30 p.m. The toddler was discovered in the backyard pool, not breathing, after the child’s mother had reportedly lost sight of her for approximately ten minutes. Bystanders and emergency services personnel both performed CPR on the girl.

Upon their arrival, first responders found that the girl had already been pulled from the water. They worked to quickly stabilize her and prepare for transport to the hospital.
