BUFFALO, N.Y. — National Grid had more crews out in the field Tuesday around Western New York. They were primarily focused on pockets of remaining outages, including areas where maybe less than five customers were still out.
At the height of the outage and storm yesterday, National Grid had about 76,000 customers without power in an 11-county area around Western New York, with some reports also of broken utility poles that had to be replaced.
But they made sure they brought in plenty of outside help with their mutual aid agreement, and Tuesday we did see crews and trucks from places like Ontario, Canada and Michigan handling some of that more labor-intensive backyard power line work…
