MANSFIELD, Ohio (WCMH) — A Columbus woman is dead after a Monday morning crash on Interstate 71 in Richland County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers from the Mansfield, Ohio post are investigating a crash in which one person died at approximately 4:38 a.m. Monday morning. Emergency units were called to an overpass on I-71 South, north of State Route 97 and the Bellville exit, where a 2020 Jeep Cherokee was involved in a wreck.

The OSHP said that, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle veered off the highway and down an embankment, landing on Vanderbilt Road.
