GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro parks are wrapping up a year of completed projects, and a lot of big initiatives are on the horizon.
For the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the department recorded more than 4.1 million regional park visits and over 320,000 recreation center visits. Youth and teen programs saw more than 250,000 participants, and sports generated an estimated economic impact of more than $39 million.
Parks Director Phil Fleischmann says those numbers only tell part of the story. There were many improvements made to neighborhood parks, and there are big plans for future facilities…
