Alabama. Gov. Kay Ivey announced Tuesday a total of $2.7 million has been awarded to various cities and organizations across the state to help people experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. Three places in North Alabama – the city of Huntsville, the city of Florence, and Marshall County Home Place Inc. – have each been awarded a portion.
The city of Huntsville was awarded $450,000 and the city of Florence was awarded $400,100. In addition, the Marshall County Home Place Inc. was awarded $42,500.
