Goat owner in Louisville’s Clifton neighborhood worried about new animal ordinance

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Some small livestock owners in Louisville are worried a new city ordinance passed in October may impact their ability to keep their animals.

This issue was first discovered when a miniature pony named Bandit in Louisville’s Germantown/Merriwether neighborhood got a ticket. The ticket was given to Bandit’s owner Susan Bruner because the ordinance says miniature ponies need to be on at least an acre of land.
