Prichard pushes for stronger animal control laws after dog attack

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Prichard city council members are pushing for stronger animal control laws and tougher penalties for repeat offenders after a recent dog attack injured a teacher and a 9-year-old boy outside Collins Rhodes Elementary.

The attack left teacher Sierra Allen and the boy with injuries that have prompted renewed calls for enforcement changes.

“They were biting and snapping and jumping over me- they bit through my UGG boots, they bit through my pants- I have scars on my legs and thighs,” Allen said…
