Colder temperatures moving in

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – After a weekend full of warm temperatures, and some record breaking heat, that will all be coming to an end. A strong cold front will be pushing through the area this evening into the overnight hours. We will see gusty winds, upwards of 20-30 mph with some higher gusts. Northwest winds will usher in a dramatic change in temperatures. Lows tonight across the Inland areas will fall into the upper 20s to near 30. Along the immediate coast, we will see temperatures between 30-33 degrees. Wind chills will be pretty cold Tuesday morning.

As we go throughout Tuesday, it will feature mostly sunny conditions. The wind will start to relax. High temperatures will only warm into the mid to upper 40s. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest of this week. Lows will fall well into the low to mid 20s inland. Temperatures around the coast will be in the mid to upper 20s.

Wednesday through Friday will feature a nice period of weather for those New Year Eve and New Years day celebrations. Clear skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s to near 60 at the coast. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 30s. Clouds start to build Friday afternoon, as our next storm system moves into the area. We could see rain overspread the area by Friday night into Saturday…
