Woman arrested after running over ex-boyfriend multiple times

Police have charged a Memphis woman with attempted first-degree murder after she allegedly ran over he ex-boyfriend multiple times.

Witnesses described the moment the accused, identified as 39-year-old Tanieka Ray, “ went crazy” and allegedly ran over the victim multiple times with a black SUV Saturday in Southwest Memphis. “She almost killed him, man, broke both his hips, broke one of his legs,” witness Carlos Brantley told WREG. “You know he’s in bad shape, but he’s going to be alright.”

Memphis police were called to the 500 block of Gilleas Rd. around 11:30 a.m., and found an injured man and Brantley. Brantley, who called 911, spoke with the news outlet after witnessing the victim, who is his neighbor, get run over by his ex-girlfriend…
