Traffic delays expected along South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach amid increased security

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Drivers heading to Palm Beach this week should expect traffic delays along South Ocean Boulevard as police conduct vehicle screenings tied to increased security on the island.

According to the Palm Beach Police Department, vehicle screenings began Sunday and will continue through next week near the Lake Worth Bridge and along South Ocean Boulevard between Lake Avenue and the Par 3 Golf Course.

Police say the screenings are expected to cause intermittent delays in the area. Drivers who want to avoid the checkpoints altogether are encouraged to use the Middle Bridge or North Bridge to access the island…
