BATON ROUGE — The family of Andrew “Nuke” McMullen has announced funeral services as they continue to mourn the loss of the 29-year-old who was killed in a scooter crash in Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge Police are investigating the crash and say it happened around 9:41 p.m. on December 26 at 7648 Perkins Road. Investigators say a 2020 Nissan Kicks was traveling north on Staring Lane and made a right turn into the RaceTrac parking lot when it hit McMullen’s electric scooter with the front right corner of the vehicle. Police say the impact was in the vehicle’s lane of travel on a private drive. McMullen was not wearing a helmet.Friends, family, and community members are invited to attend and remember Andrew for who he was — a son, brother, uncle, and a young man who fought hard to reclaim his life.The crash remains under investigation.
