COOK COUNTY, lll. — Cook County health officials are alerting residents of a jump in flu activity in the Chicago suburbs.
According to a statement from the Cook County Department of Public Health data shows “flu activity in suburban Cook County jumped from low to high during the week of Dec. 14 – Dec. 20.”
The statement goes on to say emergency room visits associated with the flu have nearly tripled. And for children, emergency room visits for the flu is twice as high as this time last year…
