Police seek new leads in JSU student’s shooting death

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are seeking new leads in the shooting death of 20-year-old Zedrick Warner.

The fatal shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Woodbine Street on June 30, 2024. Warner was a junior at Jackson State University (JSU), and he was studying engineering.

Investigators said the Jackson Police Department’s (JPD) Homicide Unit has exhausted all previous leads in the case. They’re seeking the public’s help with new information.
