Waunakee man charged after threatening woman with gun

TOWN OF WESTPORT, Wis. — A Waunakee man is charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety after he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun last week, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office reported on Tuesday.

A multi-day investigation began on Dec. 21 after deputies responded to a residence in the 4800 block of Kirkwood Drive in the Town of Westport. Harry McCormick, 38, threatened the woman. The pair have known each other for approximately eight years and were romantically involved and lived together. She was able to escape before law enforcement arrived.
