Stolen car runs red light in eastern Kansas City, one person critically injured

Kansas City police officers are investigating a car crash in eastern Kansas City that left one person in critical condition after a stolen vehicle drove through a red light.

A preliminary investigation revealed a white Acura was traveling on East 27th Street when it failed to stop at a red light at Indiana Avenue, according to a press release from Kansas City Police Department spokesperson Capt. Jake Becchina.
