Residents ready to remove their Christmas trees have several disposal options available through mid-January and beyond.
Natural trees up to 6 feet tall will be collected on regular trash days through the second Friday of January. Trees must be placed at least 2 feet away from trash carts and stripped of all lights, tinsel, ornaments and stands. Trees taller than 6 feet must be cut in half for collection.
After the second Friday in January, natural trees can be disposed of through the city’s yard waste program. Trees must be bundled to less than 4 feet in length, weigh less than 40 pounds and be securely tied. Bundles should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. at least 2 feet from trash carts…
