San Antonio Mourns the Tragic Loss of Edward “Fatso” Trejo as Suspect Charged with Murder After Noise Complaint Dispute

San Antonio’s community is mourning the loss of Edward “Fatso” Trejo, a 29-year-old man who was fatally shot last Sunday. Trejo was killed outside his home during an early morning confrontation after a noise complaint, according to officials. Paul Flores, 41, has been charged with the murder, KENS 5 reports.

Over 100 people gathered for a balloon release at Louie’s Icehouse to honor Trejo, with family, friends, and coworkers reflecting on the impact he made in their lives. “He was everything to us,” Trejo’s sister, Ayana, said in a KENS 5 interview. His brother, Christian, added, “He was our best friend. He was our protector. He was our older brother,” speaking to his role in the family. Trejo was not only a loved one but also a man who carried their hopes, stepping in to support his family when they struggled financially.

The accused, Flores, is currently held in the Bexar County Jail with a $125,000 bond. The fatal shooting happened after Flores allegedly confronted Trejo over a noise complaint outside a Christmas party on Cincinnatti Ave. What began as a verbal dispute reportedly escalated into a physical and then deadly altercation.
