The morning after Christmas, SPD Officers responded to a major crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on North Hearne Avenue.
Despite the quick response of the Shreveport Fire Department, who rendered immediate medical aid, the pedestrian died from her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The SPD Crash Investigations Unit was called and responded to the scene to conduct an investigation.
Findings during the investigation indicate a Nissan was traveling northbound in the outside lane when it hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the roadway. At the time of the crash, the area was dark. The involved vehicle was impounded and towed as evidence…
