Suspect Arrested After Kansas Home Invasion, Double Shooting Reported

I still remember reading the initial alert from the Wichita Police and feeling that chill you get when something violent hits your own neighborhood. On Saturday night, around 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 100 block of North Ash, right near Douglas and I‑135.

When they arrived, they found two men inside the home with gunshot wounds. One, a 52-year-old man, sadly didn’t survive. The other, 67, was critically injured but stable the next afternoon.

What struck me immediately was how chaotic and confusing the scene must have been. Investigators said an unknown suspect ran from the house on foot, and the motive is still under investigation…
