Albuquerque man convicted of first-degree murder seeks new hearing

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Darian Bashir, convicted of first-degree murder, is seeking to overturn his life sentence by petitioning a district court judge.

In Nov. 2021, Bashir was found guilty of first-degree murder and evidence tampering in the shooting death of Jackson Weller outside Imbibe Nightclub in Nob Hill. He was sentenced to life in prison.
