ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — If you’re feeling brave in the New Year, the City of Albuquerque is challenging you to take part in its annual Polar Plunge this Saturday.
The city’s 2026 Polar Plunge is Saturday, Jan. 3, at Sierra Vista Pool. Doors open at 9:45 a.m., with the first plunge at 11 a.m. and the second plunge at 11:30 a.m.
According to the city, you can either plunge straight into the water or slide on a slide by yourself – or have someone else do it with you. They are also offering prizes for the youngest and oldest plungers, largest family, largest group and best costume…
