South Dakota – Light snow flickers across eastern South Dakota this morning, barely coating fields but creating a bigger problem on the roads. Tires hum on damp pavement, and wind pushes loose flakes into shaded stretches, where slick spots form quickly. Winter driving demands attention as the final days of 2025 unfold.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, pockets of flurries to light snow move through the region early, with only minor accumulation expected. Even so, patchy slick spots are likely, especially during the morning commute. Winds increase later, causing patchy blowing and drifting snow in open areas…
