The Cherry Hills Village Police Department operating on the southern side of the Denver metro area is asking the public for help in solving a case that has involved a male suspect allegedly placing homemade explosive devices along High Line Canal Trail.
An initial post about the matter came on December 19, detailing that six incidents of damage to trash cans and sign posts have occurred over the last two months, with damage seeming to be caused by small, crude, homemade explosive devices. According to that report, most, but not all, of the incidents had occurred along High Line Canal Trail south of Quincy Avenue, with images of the suspect captured during the evening of December 17 and the early morning hours of December 18.
A follow-up report posted on December 29 indicates that the suspect was spotted over the weekend in another alleged attempt to damage trash cans, also seen allegedly preparing explosive devices. This sighting again occurred along High Line Canal Trail.
