TWINSBURG, Ohio (WJW) — A car crashed through the front of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Twinsburg Tuesday night, barely missing an employee who was sweeping up inside.
I-Team: ODOT plow driver that hit tow truck received ticket
The crash happened at the BP gas station at 8775 Darrow Road just before 11:30 p.m.
Surveillance video from the store showed an employee standing just inside the front door. The vehicle is seen driving through the parking lot at a high rate of speed and crashing through the front of the store, mere feet from where the employee was standing.
According to Twinsburg Fire, the 62-year-old driver was trapped in the vehicle. He was awake but slow to respond, police said, and pale in color.
First responders got the man out of the car and into an ambulance. He was taken to Akron City Hospital. His condition was not released…
