BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The fact “Zootopia 2” will end up being at the top film at the box office in 2025 came as a surprise to a lot of people – even star Ginnifer Goodwin. There was no doubt the sequel to the 2016 film would do well for Disney but it surpassed expectations when it hit the $1.4 billion mark around the globe.
Goodwin’s surprises with the “Zootopia” franchise go back to the day she was cast to be the voice of Judy Hopps. She still can’t believe she landed the voice work.
“I then couldn’t believe it was the most creative fulfilling experience of my life and then be topped by this sequel from what I got from the process,” Goodwin says. “We are told so many doom and gloom things about the entertainment industry with the box office and streaming, I can’t believe everybody has gone to the movies…
