Homicide discovered when caller reports an assault at 2:30 a.m., CMPD says

A 911 call at 2:30 a.m. on New Year’s Eve led police to a body in northwest Charlotte, according Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The person’s identity has not been released.

The discovery was made in the 2700 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road “near the Capitaine Bar and Grill,” WSOC reports. The bar closed at midnight, according to its website…
