Minneapolis Gun Robbery Ends With Officer Assault Charge

A Minneapolis man is facing an aggravated robbery charge after allegedly pointing a handgun at a woman inside an apartment building and assaulting a police officer.

According to court documents, Khalid Said Barre, 33, is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and fourth-degree assault of a peace officer in connection with an incident on Dec, 27, 2025, at an apartment building at 1615 South Fourth Street in Minneapolis.

The criminal complaint states Minneapolis police were dispatched to the building on a report of a robbery involving a gun. Officers spoke with an adult woman who said she had entered the building earlier that day carrying several personal items, including a speaker, when she encountered an unknown man in the lobby. She described his appearance, clothing and ethnicity. Police later identified the man as Barre, and the woman confirmed that identification during a show-up…
