From 911 to extradition: The progression of the Singler case

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Previously sealed documents reveal details from an incident on Dec. 18, 2023, when two children were found murdered and their 11-year-old sister badly injured. The children’s mother, 35-year-old Kimberlee Singler, was eventually sought and arrested as a suspect in the case and was extradited from the U.K. in 2025.

The accusations against Singler have garnered national attention after she allegedly left the country around the time an arrest warrant was issued for her on multiple charges of first-degree murder in the deaths of her 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. After she was taken into custody in London, she unsuccessfully fought extradition back to the United States and was finally booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on Dec. 23, 2025, just over two years after the killings.

Now, the previously sealed arrest affidavit has revealed details about what may have happened that day, along with the information that eventually led investigators to seek criminal charges against Singler.

Two days before the incident, Singler was scheduled to drop her children off for visitation with her ex-husband from Dec. 16-31, 2023.
