Weld adopts rules for Electric Vehicle charging stations

Electric vehicle drivers may have better luck finding places to charge up their cars in Weld County now that the Board of Commissioners voted to allow charging stations in non-residential zoning districts.

The Weld County Board of Commissioners passed Chapter 23 of the Weld County Code, which updates its policy regarding electric vehicle charging stations and where they may be used, according to a Dec. 24 news release.

The EV rule took effect on Dec. 29.
