HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Staff at an assisted living facility in Sun City Center say golf balls from a nearby driving range are landing on their property, raising safety concerns for residents.
Employees at Cypress Creek Assisted Living said balls from the Cypress Creek Golf Club driving range, located just across the street, have landed in common areas where residents walk, sit and park. During a visit by 8 On Your Side multiple golf balls were found on the property.

“The golf balls have been coming over, and we’ve been collecting them… it’s dangerous for our residents,” said Patricia Jaworski, a receptionist who has worked at the facility for eight years.
Jaworski said staff members have collected bags full of golf balls over time and worry someone could be seriously hurt. She said residents regularly walk pets, sit outside to visit with friends and move through the same areas where the balls are landing…
