KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – With New Year’s celebrations at hand, Dixie Lee Fireworks is preparing to help customers light up the night.
The family-owned shop has sold fireworks in Lenoir City for nearly 78 years, and now they are preparing customers for New Year’s celebrations while stressing safety and legal restrictions, owner Dottie Sharp said Wednesday.
“We’ve seen generation upon generation return here — people return with their kids, their grandkids, great-grandkids,” Sharp said. “We just see the whole family line. That’s the really exciting part about what we do.”…
