Free First Sunday at the Bullock Museum roars into the new year with T-Rex fun

As the new year approaches, one thing remains constant in Austin: Free First Sunday at the Bullock Texas State History Museum.

This weekend marks the first free event of the new year, so Lindsay Muncy and James McReynolds joined Trevor Scott and Sierra Waggoner to share more about what visitors can expect.

For those unfamiliar, Free First Sunday is a monthly event where the museum opens its doors to the public at no cost. Currently, guests can explore a variety of exhibits, including “T. Rex: The Ultimate Predator.” This exhibit offers an in-depth look at the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, showcasing its role as a formidable predator.

“This exhibit is coming to us from the American Museum of Natural History in New York. It’s a very historical, very well-done exhibit. It’s got a lot of life-size models, fossil casts, and engaging interactives. So it’s fun for the whole family, and it’s going to be on display until March 8th. So, make sure you come and see it when you have a holiday break.”…
