AUSTIN — A week of free performances is coming to the Live Music Capital of the World.
Free Week takes place on Jan. 9 and 10 in Austin’s Red River Cultural District, featuring music from Almost Heaven, Blacktooth, Candy Riot, Dopez, Lauren Lakis, Easyrider and many more.
The event began in 2003 at the concert venue Emo’s as a way “to keep clubs’ lights on and staff working during the slower winter months,” according to the cultural district’s website.
