Oneida Nation resolves questions around entering contracts associated with ICE activities

ONEIDA, Wis. (WBAY) – The Oneida Nation Business Committee adopted a resolution requiring its divisions and tribal corporations to disengage from contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement after learning a subsidiary was awarded two ICE agreements.

The Business Committee became aware two days ago that Oneida-Stantec JV, LLC was awarded the agreements with ICE. The joint venture is a partnership between tribally owned Oneida Environmental and Stantec.

Oneida Environmental is an SBA certified 8(a) business that performs contracted functions for federal contractors, including natural and cultural resource assessment and management. The company provides engineering and inspection services for safety, quality and compliance in federal facilities.
