Gov. Reeves grants clemency to twin brother of man already set free

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Gov. Tate Reeves has granted clemency to Maurice Taylor, the twin brother of a man to whom the governor granted clemency earlier this month.

According to the governor, Maurice Taylor was illegally sentenced to 20 years in prison, with five years suspended.

In February of 2015, Maurice Taylor accepted a plea bargain and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sell a Schedule III substance.
