LUBBOCK, Texas — The boards of directors and leadership teams at Lubbock-based ALLIANCE Credit Union and San Antonio-based United Texas Credit Union have announced the successful completion of their merger that will take effect on January 1, 2026.

As part of the merger, United Texas Credit Union will begin operating under the ALLIANCE Credit Union name. The merger will expand ALLIANCE Credit Union into additional regions across Texas while maintaining its strong presence in West Texas and the South Plains, including branches now serving Lubbock, Amarillo, Big Spring, New Home, San Antonio, Boerne and Fort Worth.
