SCOTT, La. (KLFY) — Residents in Scott, are voicing their frustrations over a construction site that has caused ongoing complaints about noise and dust since it was rezoned for industrial use in 2023.
The rezoning allowed Progressive Construction to operate a concrete crushing and dumping site next to residential homes. Residents Candid and Robert Bruno have been vocal about their complaints regarding constant noise and health concerns affecting their quality of life.
Candid and Bruno, who live next to the construction site, describe their experience as living in a “nightmare.” They purchased their home in 2020, shortly before the previous owner sold the property, which was then rezoned despite opposition from neighbors.
