Portland saw 30% drop in shootings in 2025, lowest in 6 years

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Portland recorded its lowest number of shooting incidents in six years, with gun violence declining by 30% in 2025, according to the Portland Police Bureau’s crime database.

The city reported 525 shooting incidents in 2025, down from 747 in 2024. Shooting-related homicides also decreased from 51 incidents to 33.
