BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Crews are responding to a wildfire on Shumont Mountain, near the Buncombe–Rutherford County line, that threatened one structure overnight.
Broad River Fire and Rescue said the fire, which was reported by several people around 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, is located at 905 Bald Mountain Road in the Shumont area.
